Reflections from the cruellest month

I go into mourning during winter. I yearn for the golden sun and the smoky warmth of long summer evenings; for meandering walks which trace the city, writing my story in steps. I turn to photographs, which hold in frozen anticipation a moment of freedom, a vision of brighter days.
